October 14, 2008 - InfoPro Systems (www.infoprosystems.net) has been awarded a three-year contract to provide programming support and other IT services to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention's National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS). InfoPro Systems has provided IT services to NCHS for the past 5 years.
As the U.S. government's principal health statistics organization, NCHS is a unique public resource for information that is critical to public health and health policy. NCHS provides national leadership in the area of collection, analysis and dissemination of national health statistics on vital events and health activities, research in statistical and survey methodology, and technical assistance both nationwide and outside the U.S. The data collected provides information to policy makers in Congress and the Administration, researchers and others in the health community.
The contract, for which Harris Corporation is the prime, consists of one base year with two one-year options. Under the contract, Harris IT Services and InfoPro Systems will continue to support activities related to the collection, analysis and dissemination of health statistics. This includes software development; database accessibility, modeling support and data warehousing; quality assurance and control; network and system engineering; data entry; and a range of other services.
